Meeting of experts / officials: Budapest, Hungary 3 – 4 July 2024
in Hungarian presidency of the Council of the European Union
Hungary holds the upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2024. During this period, the Hungarian Government aims to put particular emphasis on issues that touch the entire European Union. Therefore, among our priorities cardiovascular health is high on our Presidency agenda. Cardiovascular diseases constitute the leading cause of death in Europe and worldwide today. Our objective is to achieve progress in this field by bringing Europe’s leading experts together to contribute to a European action on combating cardiovascular diseases. To achieve this goal, we count on the cooperation from all Member States.
To discuss this topic, the Ministry of Interior of Hungary organises a High-Level Ministerial Conference on Cardiovascular Health on the 4th of July 2024 (from 9.00 to 18.00) in Budapest, to be held in the Marble Hall of the Ministry, preceded by an evening reception on the 3rd of July.
Invitations are extended to high-ranking officials from EU Member States, representatives of the WHO, and key European stakeholders and academics in this area to attend the conference.
