This was another full week, with a variety of activities. It started on Monday with a very sad moment, the burial of my collaborator, Susana Martins, that deeply touched all of us.

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday I sat on the Board of the NCDAlliance, in London, more precisely at the Hartsfield Manor in Surrey, where we had the chance to discuss several topics related with the different activities currently being organized by NCDA. A great opportunity to exchange ideas in a fantastic group of very Senior and experienced people, coming from all the different areas related with NCDs.

On Thursday and Friday I represented the World Heart Federation at the Congress of the Spanish Society of Cardiology, in Granada, where I had the chance to be part of a fantastic session, that included the top leadership of the Spanish Society of Cardiology, discussing the new European Cardiovascular Health Plan. That was followed by an interview together with the President of SEC on the same topic. On Friday evening I had the privilege of being part of a private visit to Alhambra, which was absolutely amazing.

Then rushed back home to be on time to watch my youngest son, Ricardo, receive the Diploma de Valor at Salesianos de Lisboa.

And tomorrow my grandson, Santiago, will turn 2 years old. What a week!!! More to come
