Colombo, Sri Lanka
13-24 October 2024
This seminar is primarily aimed at young physicians and scientists working in the field of cardiovascular disease. The original aim of the founders Professors Jerry Stamler from the US and Professor Geoffrey Rose from UK was global leadership capacity building and fostering international research and public health networks. The success of this seminar is evidenced by the alumni who are now international leaders in cardiovascular disease research and prevention activities who have had major impact in transforming clinical practice and health in the population. The seminar is held in a different country each year to encourage regional participation and used as an opportunity, often with the local ministry of health or university, to raise awareness of the importance of cardiovascular disease prevention and encourage relevant research and policy.
