Prof. Fausto Pinto is Professor of Cardiology at the University of Lisbon and former President of both the World Heart Federation and the European Society of Cardiology. Internationally recognised for his work in cardiovascular medicine, imaging, and health policy, he has played a major role in advancing global cooperation and innovation in healthcare.
His participation reflects the importance of positioning personalised medicine not only as a scientific advancement, but also as a strategic priority for health systems, prevention, and universal health coverage.
The launch event will bring together political leaders, institutional representatives, clinicians, researchers, patient advocates, and industry stakeholders to discuss how healthcare systems can move from fragmented innovation to coordinated implementation.
